Swimming pool
With views across the water meadow, the 16m heated pool is perfect for swimming lengths and at 1.4m deep throughout is wonderful for just standing and relaxing in.
It’s a non chlorine pool.
Hot tub
There’s nothing like a soak in the hot tub on a cool evening, watching the sunset and listening to the birds.
The four person tub is made of pure cedar wood throughout and heats up to 40°c.
We provide tea tree, eucalyptus and lemongrass essential oils, which make it smell gorgeous.
Sauna
Our sauna sits at the beginning of the woodland walk behind the pool.
It’s an electric steam sauna, which heats up within 10 minutes, so you can use it on the spur of the moment when you feel the need.
When you need to cool down, you can either sit on the integrated seats with a view into the woodland, or wander back to the pool behind it.
Woodland
Two acres of rare wet woodland with a raised pathway through naturally arched branches that leads you to the rising sun over rolling fields.
As soon as we heard the extraordinary birdsong in this woodland, we knew this was the place.
Orchard
A mature orchard with a variety of apple, pear and plum trees.
We’ve more recently planted a cooking apple tree and some more plums, greengages and pears.
Late September and October are peak apple season, during which we have copious numbers of bright red and mellow green apples.
Pizza oven
Our wood fired pizza oven sits at the top of the pool terrace on a curved kitchen area , which we built around one of the original lamp posts from Brighton station!
It takes three to four hours to warm up slowly and then it cooks the most delicious pizzas.
We’re soon going to be experimenting with cooking other things in it too.
Kitchen garden
We have a small kitchen garden, with raised beds, two green houses and an original piggery,
We’re experimenting with growing our own fruit, vegetables and flowers. Sometimes the harvest is bounteous, sometimes there’s one blueberry! We’re learning.
